Doug Varty

Recognized in Canada’s rock and blues music scene for his acclaimed vocals, stage presence, and songwriting and instrumental skills, Doug has been awarded 5 London Music Awards, honoured three times as a Blues Artist, twice as a Tribute Artist, and once as Singer/Songwriter with his self produced album “Feel Free”.

After his induction in the Forest City London Music Awards Hall Of Fame “Doug Varty is a national treasure” proclaimed Canadian Music critic Greg Simpson.

He’s shared the stage with Jeff Healey, Edgar Winter, Tina Turner, Bob Seger, John Lee Hooker, Roy Orbison, John Mellencamp and others.

He’s performed in Canada, the USA, Mexico, the Caribbean, Germany and Holland and lent his vocal and songwriting talents to other movie soundtracks, commercials, TV shows and other artist’s recordings, including Wild T and The Spirit and Helix.

In addition to touring as a Rod Stewart Tribute artist, Doug’s most current passion is “Beatles In Blue”, a live band show featuring rocking Blues reworkings of classic Beatles songs, showcasing his brilliant band and himself.

With “Beatles In Blue” he’s now released a self titled 10 song album and is currently touring this show through 2024.

Coming in 2024, there’s a much overdue Doug Varty solo album and a second Beatles in Blue album in the works. Stay tuned.
